Volunteering For Rape Crisis North East

Volunteer Today! There are many ways in which you can make a difference! We know that your time is very important to you and we appreciate any time you can offer to assist us in supporting those impacted by sexual violence.
Some of the ways you can help are through volunteering your time to assist us in fundraising events, awareness events as well as offering your time directly to those impacted by sexual violence by providing confidential support on our Freephone helpline.
Due to the sensitivity and confidentiality of the work we do with and on behalf of survivors of rape & sexual violence, we do require staff supervision and training for anyone who wishes to volunteer as a helpline counsellor with our agency.

Become a Volunteer Counsellor

Due to the increase in the demand for our services, Rape Crisis North East are urgently seeking experienced volunteer counsellors to provide a crisis counselling and psychotherapy service to male and female clients, who have experienced recent or past rape, sexual assault and/or child sexual abuse.

It is also essential for the counsellor to have completed the 12 day Post Graduate Certificate Course – ‘Issues of Sexual Violence: the Counselling Process’ with the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre.
We know that free time is precious to you and we appreciate any time you can offer to assist us in supporting those impacted by sexual violence.
